KONČAR Group has been consistently supporting the local community through a wide range of CSR activities and donations to disadvantaged groups. This year, in celebration of 103 years of operations, the company has made a special donation to the Association of Parents of Children with Developmental Disabilities - Vukovarski leptirići, in support of their campaign Be My Wings. The aim of the campaign is to secure funding for the operation of a part-time care facility for children with developmental disabilities and children from socially vulnerable and disadvantaged families. In addition to Vukovarski leptirići, KONČAR has also supported the Zagreb Computer Association with a donation of new laptops. At the same time, the Agreement with the Zagreb University of Applied Sciences was renewed and upgraded in an effort to reinforce the award scheme for best students within the initiative Investing in People is the Best Investment.

KONČAR has been renowned for its extraordinary dedication and commitment to the local community. It has a longstanding history of engaging in humanitarian activities across Croatia. In 2023, the company marked KONČAR Day with donations to the Children's Department of the General Hospital in Gospić and the Gospić-based Association of Children with Developmental Disabilities Pčelice, and carried out a large-scale tree planting campaign last October in Vukovar, endorsing the local community of the Vukovar-Srijem County.

The Association of Parents of Children with Developmental Disabilities Vukovarski leptirići is a voluntary, non-governmental, and non-profit association, gathering children with developmental disabilities, their parents, family members, guardians, and other citizens committed to social and humanitarian goals, dedicated to improving the quality of life for children with developmental disabilities and their families. The Association operates in the City of Vukovar, Vukovar-Srijem and Osijek-Baranja Counties, and across the Republic of Croatia. KONČAR’s donation towards the Be My Wings campaign will support the work of therapists and educators who work on enhancing the quality of life of children with developmental disabilities with the aim of enabling their better integration into the community.

As one of the largest domestic employers, KONČAR takes pride in its robust relationship with the academic community, a partnership that has been carefully cultivated over the span of more than seventy years. Marking the 103rd anniversary, KONČAR has not only celebrated but also reaffirmed its tradition of honouring outstanding students from the Zagreb University of Applied Sciences. This award is guided by the principle Investing in People is the Best Investment. Additionally, an Annex to the Business Cooperation Agreement between the two entities has been signed, reinforcing the ongoing partnership.

Cooperation with the Zagreb Computer Association has also continued with a donation of computer equipment, equipping a classroom in the Youth Programmers Centre with new laptops.
