Norwegian innovation: Successful collaborations with Seaonics
Explore how our partnership with Seaonics has led to innovative solutions and remarkable achievements.
Our long-standing collaboration with SEAONICS, a Norwegian company specializing in advanced maritime equipment, gained significant momentum in Q4 2022.
Our joint design and calculation efforts, in collaboration with SEAONICS, led to the contracting of two major Walk-to-Work gangway projects. The SEAONICS ECMC Gangway, designed for the safe transfer of personnel between vessels and offshore wind turbines, marked the world’s first fully electrical gangways for offshore operations.
This pioneering project required the development and integration of a range of electric motors from KONČAR - MES, with varying power outputs, to drive a fully electrically controlled gangway system. Initial equipment deliveries began in July 2023, and the system is now deployed in active offshore operations. Following this success, additional W2W projects featuring new transition system configurations are now underway, currently in the design and engineering documentation phase.
Our long-term partnership with SEAONICS has fostered a strong and stable collaboration, paving the way for increasingly complex projects where our development engineers and high-quality products continue to play a crucial role.
