High-efficiency solutions for transformer cooling systems
Efficient and sustainable transformer cooling
New EU regulations are accelerating the transition towards more efficient and sustainable transformer cooling solutions. With stricter Ecodesign requirements coming into force in 2026, the focus is on optimizing airflow performance, reducing energy consumption, and ensuring long-term operational efficiency.
Modern cooling systems rely on advanced fan and drive technologies that enable variable speed control, allowing airflow to adapt to actual transformer load and temperature conditions. This flexibility significantly reduces unnecessary energy consumption and extends equipment lifetime.
At the same time, increasing pressure on supply chains is driving the need to minimize the use of critical raw materials, ensuring reliable and sustainable system design.
As energy represents more than 90% of the total cost of ownership of cooling systems, investing in high-efficiency solutions delivers substantial long-term savings and improved overall performance.
