Showcasing innovation at CIGRE Paris
The 50th session of the International Council on Large Electric Systems (CIGRE), held in Paris, brought together more than 4,500 delegates, 10,000 visitors, and 300 exhibitors from 120 countries, setting new attendance records.
Discussions spanned over 1,200 poster sessions, focusing on the industry’s most pressing challenges and innovations.
Our colleague Luka Kovačić presented IVTs for PQ Measurement Applications during the Study Committee A3 (Transmission and Distribution Equipment) discussions, showcasing KONČAR’s contribution to power quality and transmission technology.
The session’s theme, Sustainable Electricity for All, reflected the global push toward the energy transition. SF6-free technologies and products with reduced carbon footprints were key discussion points, underscoring their importance in shaping the future of the energy industry.
In alignment with this theme, our engineer Krešimir Koprivec delivered a presentation titled Implementation of Various Biodegradable Insulation Liquids in Instrument Transformers Rated at 420 kV. This talk showcased the application of environmentally friendly insulating fluids in our GREEN LINE series of high-voltage instrument transformers, reinforcing our commitment to sustainable innovation.
