The project involves the supply of three static excitation systems, which include excitation transformers, spare parts, and full commissioning services. 

Each system is designed with full redundancy, featuring dual digital voltage regulators and two thyristor converters. The final system is slated for delivery in September. Our experts will be on-site to ensure the successful installation, final testing, and commissioning of the systems. 

Nam Sam 3 is a significant hydropower project on the Nam Sam River in the Houaphan region, featuring three vertical Francis turbine units with a combined capacity of 61.7 MVA each. The project’s hydromechanical equipment is provided by the Indian subsidiary of a leading turbine manufacturer, while KONČAR – Generators and Motors is responsible for the design, production, and delivery of the generators and associated excitation and monitoring systems under a contract secured in 2021.
