KONČAR is implementing an advanced, fully integrated microgrid at its headquarters in Zagreb. The system optimizes onsite energy consumption, enhances resilience in the event of grid disturbances, and enables efficient charging of KONČAR’s electric vehicle fleet using solar-generated electricity.
By embedding the microgrid into the company’s daily operations, KONČAR demonstrates how industrial and commercial facilities can increase energy independence, improve power quality and reduce emissions, while preparing for a more electrified and digital future.
Integrated solution to optimize energy consumption and ensure resilience
The new microgrid combines solar photovoltaic generation with a battery storage, a comprehensive microgrid energy management system, an advanced SCADA platform and EV charging stations in a single, coordinated solution. This allows real-time optimization of consumption and maximum utilization of renewable energy produced onsite.
Through seamless integration of all components, KONČAR ensures stable and reliable power supply for its headquarters, while continuously monitoring performance and optimizing the use of locally generated energy.
