In addition to focusing on the environmental component of the ESG strategy, corporate governance and the social aspect have been essential components of our operations, and we are firmly dedicated to upholding the highest standards aligned with best practices. The recognition of this commitment is evident in the valuable awards and acknowledgments that KONČAR has received recently.

On 8 June in Zagreb, the Game Changer Awards 2024 recognized the forefront of technological innovation, celebrating top technology companies and leaders. KONČAR - Digital proudly took home the award for Excellence in the Technological Industry in the "Cybersecurity Project of The Year" category for their exceptional KONČAR PROZA Station project. Notably, at the end of last year, the renowned German certification company TÜV NORD awarded KONČAR - Digital a certificate of compliance with the latest international standards for cybersecurity in critical infrastructure management systems. This milestone made KONČAR's PROZA Station the first SCADA solution globally to meet the IEC 62351 international cybersecurity standard. Furthermore, the cybersecurity measures of KONČAR's digital solutions comply with the EU NIS 2 directive and the provisions of the forthcoming Cybersecurity Act. This award solidifies KONČAR's strategic dedication to pioneering digital solutions for the control and management of critical infrastructure.

At the Financial-Investment Forum held on 8 June focusing on the economic and investment outlook for Croatia and the region, the Lider Invest Awards were presented. These awards honour the best manufacturing investments that have significantly contributed to exports, employment, sustainable development, and the quality of life for citizens, as well as environmental protection. KONČAR - Institute of Electrical Engineering received the special "Slavko Krajcar" award for technological innovations for their project to construct the laboratory for power systems and drives (LAVESP). This high-tech testing complex, one of only a few such facilities in the world, is vital for the continuous development and testing of high-voltage equipment. It features advanced equipment for testing HVDC transmission system components, essential for the green transition by enabling long-distance power transmission, extensive underground and submarine cable use, and energy harnessing from offshore wind farms. LAVESP significantly boosts the technological progress and global recognition of KONČAR Group. The construction of this unique laboratory was launched in July 2021, with the EUR 7 million investment fully financed from KONČAR’s own funds.

The international hybrid 47th Scientific-Professional Conference on Information, Communication, and Electronic Technology – MIPRO 2024, was held under the slogan "Artificial Intelligence Towards EU Multilingualism." This prestigious event saw the acceptance of 403 scientific and professional papers from 1062 authors and co-authors representing 42 countries. On 22 May KONČAR - Digital was awarded the MIPRO Annual ICT Award in the Economy category for its innovative product lineup. This esteemed award not only honours the legacy of Nikola Tesla but also recognizes exceptional contributions to the ICT sector, celebrating those who drive innovation and technological progress.
