Optimizing production with the Stator Transport System
To achieve optimal utilization of production resources, under the LEAN MANAGEMENT PROJECT we have focused ourselves on the direction of Winding workshop.
The focus was on the elimination of losses in the form of shortening of working time and time spent in transport. These losses have a significant impact on production efficiency, and their reduction is essential for increasing productivity and improving working conditions.
One of the most important projects addressing these challenges is the Stator Transport System, developed to produce stators in the IEC 132–180 size range. The system was designed based on our ideas and technical specifications, while its production and delivery were carried out in collaboration with a selected supplier. This innovative solution successfully eliminated the need for cranes in the production process, resulting in faster, safer, and more efficient operations.
The implementation of the Stator Transport System has achieved significant results. The production of stators in the 132–180 size range increased by 2.39% annually, with a return on investment visible within just one year. In addition to economic benefits, the project significantly improved workplace safety and ergonomics, reducing the physical strain on employees. Customizing the system to meet their needs further enhances team satisfaction and motivation.
A key strength of this project lies in the active involvement of employees in its development. Their participation, from the initial stages of defining requirements to the implementation phase, ensured that the system fully meets the real needs of production. The creativity and expertise of the employees were crucial to its success, resulting in a system tailored not only to production processes but also to the employees who use it daily.
The Stator Transport System represents an example of successful collaboration with our partners, as well as proof that investing in innovative solutions delivers measurable results. By reducing losses, increasing efficiency, and improving the working environment, this project underscores the importance of investing in people, technology, and processes. The outcomes of this initiative further inspire the team to pursue similar projects aimed at the continuous improvement of quality and productivity.
