Smart facility for liquid coating drying
In partnership with the University of Zagreb’s Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture and AGENOR AUTOMATIKA Ltd., we have successfully completed the "Smart Facility for Liquid Coating Drying" project.
This project was co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund as part of the Operational Programme Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014-2020, within the call for proposals "Enhancing the Development of New Products and Services Based on R&D Activities – Phase II, KK.01.2.1.02”.
Project activities encompassed industrial research, resulting in the development of an initial prototype for the Smart Facility for Liquid Coating Drying, followed by experimental development to produce a pre-production prototype of the facility.
The project’s goal was to create an innovative smart facility for liquid coating drying, featuring a seamlessly integrated drying service. This facility brings together all essential components to deliver a comprehensive, cutting-edge solution for liquid coating drying to global markets, optimized for maximum efficiency and precision.
This innovative smart facility is equipped with the following advanced systems:
- An IC panel movement system with integrated object detection
- An IR radiation control system with integrated temperature monitoring
- An automated material transport system through the drying chambers
Designed with cutting-edge specifications, the facility meets the objectives set forth by EU, national, and regional development frameworks.
This project has delivered a distinctive product and service that streamlines the liquid coating drying process, achieving faster drying times and lower energy use.
