We remain committed to strategic investments in our production processes, continually elevating the quality and competitiveness of our products. As global market demands evolve, the focus on product quality has intensified across the supply chain. In response, we are not only experts in welded components for the energy, transport, and industrial sectors, but we also prioritize ongoing investment in advanced welding technology to meet and exceed customer expectations.

In February, we completed an investment exceeding HRK 1.1 million (€146,000) to upgrade a welding portal that had been in continuous operation for over fifteen years. This project included a full overhaul of an automated submerged arc welding (SAW) machine. 

With this enhancement, we have significantly boosted productivity, allowing for efficient welding and overlaying of thicker and longer joints in a single pass, while simultaneously elevating product quality and optimizing overall process efficiency.

We recently commissioned our first robotic welding station —CLOOS— at our Sesvetski Kraljevec facility, representing an investment of approximately HRK 1.3 million (EUR 173,000). This advanced system has tripled our welding speed: while it previously took a welder eight hours to complete one assembly, the robot now completes three assemblies in the same timeframe. The robotic station also ensures exceptional consistency and speed, delivering uniform quality across all welded components—a critical advantage for repetitive parts, as verified by NDT testing. Operating in two shifts, this station handles welding for both transformer tank parts and specialized components, including those for trains, trams, and generators.

Looking forward, we are preparing a joint project with a German partner, one of our transformer tank customers. For several months, our facility will host a robotic welding station provided by our partner to produce a range of components. This collaboration aims to explore opportunities for enhancing our competitiveness by advancing our welding technology and expanding our technical capabilities.
