In 2020, a contract was concluded with HŽ Passenger Transport for the delivery of 21 TSI electric multiple unit, serving urban, commuter, and regional routes, with completion expected by the end of 2023. This contract is part of the “HŽ Passenger Transport’s rolling stock renewal by new electric multiple-units” initiative, funded by the Operational Program Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014–2020.  The aim of procuring new trains is to encourage citizens to embrace rail transport for its energy efficiency and affordability.
