Battery multiple units (BMUs) and battery electric multiple units (BEMUs)
Our current development projects include cutting-edge battery multiple units (BMUs) and battery electric multiple units (BEMUs).
Battery Multiple Units (BMUs) are designed for passenger transport on non-electrified railway lines, using onboard propulsion batteries charged exclusively through stable energy connections. They accommodate up to 200 passengers.
Battery Electric Multiple Units (BEMUs) leverage a 25 kV, 50 Hz AC traction system for propulsion and battery charging, reaching speeds of 120 km/h in battery mode and 160 km/h when connected to the overhead line.
These environmentally friendly trains are quieter and more efficient, suitable for diverse routes, with autonomy based on battery capacity and speed.
Alongside their environmental benefits, our battery trains can lower maintenance and operational costs. With cutting-edge technology and efficiency, these trains embody the future of sustainable rail transport.
