Advancing e-mobility with transformer substations for EV charging stations

We are proud to continue our partnership with Ionity and its subsidiaries in Croatia and Slovenia, delivering factory-assembled standardized transformer substations (TS) to power electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.

Our MTS 20/0.4 kV substations, housed in durable concrete enclosures and equipped with 1000 or 1250 kVA distribution transformers, are essential in supporting the growing demand for EV infrastructure.

To date, two substations have been successfully commissioned at key locations in Zadar and Kanfanar, while a substation for the Ionity charging station at the Roses Fashion Outlet in Vrankovec – Sv. Križ Začretje has been delivered and is set to become operational soon.

Transformer substations for EV charging stations

Production is underway for two more substations for Ionity’s Slovenian operations, destined for charging stations in Celje and Murska Sobota. In Croatia, three additional substations are being prepared for installation in Gospić, Rijeka, and Raščane near Blato na Cetini.

The successful completion of these projects underscores the strength of our collaboration and positions us to meet the increasing demand for EV charging stations. This growth is particularly pronounced along highways, major roadways, at shopping centers, in tourist hubs, and within larger cities.

Through these projects, we are playing a vital role in enhancing e-mobility infrastructure, reducing carbon emissions, and promoting the use of renewable energy. Importantly, all the charging stations are powered by electricity sourced exclusively from renewables - wind, water, solar, and biomass - thanks to Ionity's commitment to sustainable energy partnerships across Europe.
