110 Delivering 110 kV GIS for terminal substation
As part of a flagship investment by HOPS and HEP-Distribution System Operator, we successfully delivered and installed state-of-the-art 123 kV gas-insulated switchgear (GIS), marking another milestone in our portfolio of innovative energy infrastructure projects.
The project involved the delivery of five switchgear bays to the site, followed by unloading, precise installation, and rigorous high-voltage testing - all completed seamlessly to ensure optimal performance.
This strategic upgrade boosts the reliability and quality of electricity supply for critical areas, including the Terminal business zone (TTTS), the city districts of Barutana, Stobreč, Korešnica, and Žrnovnica, as well as the municipality of Podstrana. Additionally, the new infrastructure will power key facilities along the future Split-Omiš expressway, supporting regional growth and development.
In addition to the GIS, we supplied and installed a 20 (10) kV switchgear system (type BVK) and shielded three-phase cables, ensuring a robust connection between the 20 (10) kV side of the power transformer and its corresponding transformer bay in the 20 (10) kV system.
