Circuit breakers

High-voltage circuit breakers of type 8E1

We design and manufacture high-voltage circuit breakers of type 8E1, optimized for rated voltages of 123 kV and 145 kV with nominal currents of up to 3150 A. These breakers are available in both single-pole and three-pole configurations, utilizing dependable motor-spring operating mechanisms for precise and efficient operation.

Each circuit breaker is equipped with a standardized set of auxiliary electrical components, including a test connector for auxiliary circuits, enabling seamless monitoring and diagnostics throughout its operational lifespan. The modular design of type 8E1 circuit breakers ensures adaptability to specific customer requirements, offering tailored solutions for diverse applications.

The three-pole design is the most commonly used configuration for rated voltages of 123/145 kV, delivering robust performance and reliability. For customers requiring a single-pole design, the breakers provide the same ease of use as the three-pole configuration, with all control and signal cables routed to a single cabinet. Connectorized inter-cabinet wiring simplifies installation, reduces setup time, and eliminates the risk of wiring errors.

The interrupter chambers in our circuit breakers employ advanced arc-quenching technology utilizing dedicated arc contacts and specialized Teflon nozzles. This design effectively harnesses the energy of the arc to heat the gas, ensuring reliable and efficient arc extinguishment.
