Converters for renewable energy sources

Our dedication to the green transition, environmental responsibility, and renewable energy is evident through a wide range of development initiatives. These efforts have resulted in a diverse portfolio of products and services tailored for the renewable energy sector.

We specialize in power generation from wind, solar, and hydro sources, with a particular focus on small hydropower plants. In the field of wind energy generation, we have developed a static frequency converter that efficiently converts the variable voltage and frequency output from wind turbines into stable, constant-voltage, constant-frequency power. The converter's control algorithms are optimized for synchronous and asynchronous machines, as well as permanent magnet generators (PMG). Additionally, this converter is well-suited for use in small hydropower plants and reversible hydroelectric stations.

Converters for renewable energy sources

Photovoltaic inverter for solar power plants

The KONsol central photovoltaic inverter is a complete turnkey solution, engineered for outdoor deployment in solar power plants with capacities above 1 MW. It optimizes plant performance and efficiency while significantly lowering installation costs. All components required for the inverter, along with the necessary equipment to connect the solar power plant to the medium-voltage grid, are integrated into a compact 20' container.

The system offers both local control via a control cabinet and remote monitoring through standardized communication protocols. KONsol is built with components from industry-leading manufacturers, ensuring dependable performance and easy maintenance. The inverter system includes two independently operating, parallel-connected inverters, a medium-voltage (MV) transformer, and an MV switchgear assembly.

KONsol is engineered as a self-contained unit, featuring single-stage conversion of DC power from the photovoltaic array to AC power. The low-voltage AC is then stepped up to medium-voltage (10 or 20 kV) and connected to the distribution grid via the MV switchgear. Additionally, the MV switchgear enables the parallel connection of multiple inverters for larger installations.

Variable speed generator converter

Our variable speed generator converters are designed with the following key features: variable voltage and frequency, high efficiency, flexible control, seamless integration of renewables, scalability and enhanced grid stability.

The converter dynamically adjusts to the rotational speed of the generator, enabling efficient power generation with variable voltage and frequency. Engineered for maximum energy conversion, the converters minimize mechanical-to-electrical energy loss, optimizing overall performance. They allow precise control over generator speed, ensuring a stable and grid-compliant electrical output.

Whether integrated with wind or hydropower plants, these converters adapt to fluctuating energy outputs, facilitating the smooth inclusion of renewable energy sources into the grid. Suitable for generators of various sizes, the converters can scale to meet diverse power demands, making them ideal for a range of energy applications. By providing accurate control over electrical parameters, our converters bolster the reliability and stability of the power grid.
