New direct agreement for a customer in Austria

In October 2022, after months of teleconference negotiations and two on-site visits, we successfully signed our second direct contract with Austrian power company Ennskraftwerke.

Ennskraftwerke operates a total of 14 hydropower plants on the Enns and Steyr rivers. With an annual generation of around 1.800 million kWh, supplied to Verbund and Energie AG Oberösterreich as well as to the Austrian Federal Railways, Ennskraftwerke is one of the largest Austrian producers of electricity from renewable sources.

HPP Losenstein

After the successful completion of the project HPP St. Pantaleon, the new agreement with the Austrian customer was concluded for Losenstein HPP, located 25 km south of the city of Steyr. The power plant features two sets of generators composed of vertical Kaplan turbines directly connected with three-phase synchronous generators. We will provide two new stators and rotor poles, increasing the generator’s capacity from 20 MVA to 22 MVA, with ratings of 6.3 kV and 125 rpm. The contract also includes spare parts, disassembly and assembly services, supervision, commissioning, and customer training.

The first generator is expected to be shipped in October 2023, followed by the second generator in October 2024.

Completion of on-site work is targeted for March 2024 for the first generator, and March 2025 for the second.
