KONČAR data centres
From design to deployment: Two state-of-the-art KONČAR data centres
State-of-the-art data centres at KONČAR Group
Our team of experts, in partnership with industry leaders, has successfully designed and constructed two advanced data centres for the KONČAR Group. Compliant with the European standard EN 50600 for planning, construction, and management, these facilities mark a significant advancement in KONČAR's ICT infrastructure consolidation efforts, setting the stage for enhanced digitalization and the adoption of new technologies like AI and machine learning.
The project involved meticulous planning, renovation, and optimization of facilities, coupled with the development of robust energy infrastructure—including generators, battery systems, uninterruptible power supplies, and specialized cooling systems tailored for data centres. It also featured the installation of sophisticated fire detection and suppression systems, and IT racks equipped with the latest digital monitoring solutions.
Strategically located near key industrial and business application sites, these data centres are connected by reliable optical links ensuring complete system redundancy, minimal latency, and exceptionally high availability—key for continuous operations.
Constructed on a modular basis, the new facilities utilize micro data centre modules that facilitate rapid and efficient deployment with minimal need for extensive alterations. This modular setup not only boosts scalability but also prepares the infrastructure to easily adapt to technological advances and business growth.
Cyber-secure SCADA solution for data centres
The PROZA Station DCIM digital solution is employed for operational monitoring and efficiency management in data centres. Developed from our advanced, cyber-secure SCADA system, PROZA Station, this solution meets the highest standards of digital security.
Our latest-generation SCADA system adheres to the most current international cybersecurity standards. It is important to emphasize that KONČAR's PROZA Station is the first to achieve a cybersecurity certification aligned with the international security standard IEC 62351. The IEC 62351 standard plays a key role in the field of cyber security of critical infrastructure, primarily because it defines the requirements that guarantee the safeguarding of confidentiality, integrity protection and communication authentication. The overarching aim is to enhance the security of remote control systems.
Developed by our team of experts, this digital solution leverages over forty years of experience in creating software specifically designed for managing energy systems, industrial processes, and critical urban infrastructure.
