In 2022, a contract was signed to deliver battery electric multiple unit (BEMU) prototype and battery multiple unit prototype (BMU) with 6 energy storage devices. This aligns with the "The application of green technologies in railway passenger transport" initiative under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan 2021–2026.
The deployment of battery trains will enhance connectivity and mobility in local and regional areas, improving service quality. These trains will integrate seamlessly with new-generation low-floor trains, ensuring greater capacity and lower operational costs.
Developing new products such as hybrid and battery trains is aligned with our vision of an innovative partner for advanced solutions on the journey to green transition and mobility.
