ZET Sljeme Cable Car - new rectifier power supply system
We successfully installed and commissioned the power equipment for the Gračansko Dolje rectifier station, providing reliable energy supply for the Sljeme cable car system.
In 2020, we successfully completed the production, delivery, and commissioning of equipment for the Gračansko Dolje rectifier station, delivered on a turnkey basis for Zagrebački električni tramvaj (ZET). The station, integrated within the substation serving the lower terminal of the new Sljeme cable car, plays a vital role in powering the tram network.
The Gračansko Dolje rectifier station, located at the lower terminal of the Sljeme cable car system, is responsible for powering the entire 2.6 km tram route from Mihaljevac to Gračansko Dolje.
As one of 16 rectifier stations ensuring continuous tram operations across Zagreb’s 120 km tram network, it converts medium-voltage power (10/20 kV) into direct current (DC) at a nominal voltage of 660 VDC. This DC power is then fed into the tram overhead contact line system, supplying the traction voltage necessary for tram operation. All 660 VDC equipment is directly integrated with the contact network to ensure reliable performance.
Upon completion of the necessary construction work, we successfully delivered and installed the new electrical equipment for the 660 VDC traction voltage system, essential for powering tram vehicles. This included a 2000 kVA rectifier transformer, a 660 VDC/3000 A rectifier with corresponding DC distribution switchgear, a 50 kVA house transformer with integrated protection systems, auxiliary power systems for AC (400/230 VAC) and DC (48/24 VDC), as well as advanced protection and measurement systems, among other components.
The successful delivery and commissioning of the Gračansko Dolje rectifier station further solidifies our reputation as a dependable and high-quality supplier of specialized electrical equipment for rectifier stations.
