Cooling systems for Japanese train converters delivered

We have successfully completed the delivery of 66 cooling systems (LCS) to Hitachi for their main drive converters, part of the East Midlands Railway project in the UK. The project encompasses the production of 33 five-car intercity trains, designed to connect London with other major cities.

The trains are powered either via a 25 kV, 50 Hz overhead line or through onboard diesel generators. The converters and cooling systems are assembled in Japan and shipped to Hitachi’s UK facility for the final train assembly.

This successful series of deliveries follows the development of a tailored cooling system for Hitachi in 2015. Our strong track record and competitive edge allowed us to win this contract over several specialized European companies.

We have delivered more than 350 LCS units for Hitachi's projects, including those for Abellio ScotRail in Scotland, the Thai RedLine, and the East Midlands Railway in the UK.
