Next-generation SCADA System

PROZA Station embodies the cutting edge in SCADA technologies, specifically developed for automated monitoring, control, and data collection across complex energy systems. Its applications extend from transformer substations to solar power plants and include critical infrastructure such as data centers.

This cutting-edge SCADA system is built upon the newly developed PROZA HAT software platform, leveraging more than four decades of KONČAR’s experience in creating industrial digital solutions for managing energy systems and critical infrastructure. The key features of the PROZA HAT platform, its open-source core, modular design, and exceptional flexibility, are integral to rapidly developing customized digital solutions that are precisely tailored to meet the unique needs of each user or project.

The functionality of the system has been recently expanded, now including new features such as enhanced automated reporting and the ability for users to deploy custom scripts for complex mathematical calculations and improved process management.

Capability for Cloud deployment

The PROZA Station digital solution supports rapid and straightforward engineering and is customizable to specific user needs. It can be implemented on substation computer or through Docker containers in the cloud, enhancing deployment flexibility. This allows for significant efficiency improvements and reduces the costs of deployment and maintenance of the management system for distribution transformer substations, facilitating the advancement of the power grid.

The solution can be deployed as a containerized application for scalable cloud environments or as standard software distribution, accommodating various IT infrastructure setups. This dual deployment capability ensures enhanced security and resilience of the power system by enabling digital redundancy.

Further benefits of deploying the PROZA Station SCADA system include seamless integration with IoT systems and cost-effective management of distribution transformer substations, whether deployed in the cloud or on local hardware.

Certified cybersecurity

The PROZA Station SCADA-based control and management system is deployed following stringent security procedures that comply with the international cybersecurity standard IEC 62443. The ISA/IEC 62443 series of standards define requirements and processes for implementing and maintaining electronically secure industrial automation and control systems (IACS). Developed by leading cybersecurity experts, these standards provide detailed guidelines and best practices aimed at ensuring strong protection and resilience against modern cybersecurity threats and challenges.

It is important to emphasize that KONČAR's PROZA Station is the first to achieve a cybersecurity certification aligned with the international security standard IEC 62351. The IEC 62351 standard plays a key role in the field of cyber security of critical infrastructure, primarily because it defines the requirements that guarantee the safeguarding of confidentiality, integrity protection and communication authentication. The overarching aim is to enhance the security of remote control systems.

The new digital solution, PROZA Station, is currently operational in both trial and commercial settings, managing transmission and distribution transformer substations across more than 18 locations in Croatia and abroad.
