At the end of 2022, we upgraded a successful long-standing cooperation with the Hungarian transmission system operator MAVIR with a new long-term contract, for the delivery of instrument transformers with voltage levels up to 420 kV.

Within the five-year framework agreement, KMT will deliver current, voltage and combined transformers, voltage levels ranging from 145 kV to 420 kV for the needs of the Hungarian transmission system operator (MAVIR).

The instrument transformers are primarily delivered for the needs of a project spanning the construction of transformer substations and transmission lines. These new facilities will enable the stable integration of a large number of new solar power plants into the Hungarian power grid. The project is backed by the European Union and the Hungarian government.
