Expansion and revitalization of Zemblak TS

Due to its strategic geographic location in the Korca region, at the easternmost part of Albania and along the international route to Greece, the 400/110/20 kV Zemblak TS is of exceptional importance for the end-user, the Albanian TSO OST.

At the end of 2015, we held an official handover ceremony and commissioning of Zemblak TS in Albania.

The scope of work in the expansion and revitalization of the 400/110/20 kV Zemblak TS comprised the complete delivery of primary and secondary equipment, development of project documentation, and turnkey construction and assembly works.

Due to its strategic geographic location in the Korca region, at the easternmost part of Albania and along the international route to Greece, the 400/110/20 kV Zemblak TS is of exceptional importance for the end-user, the Albanian TSO OST.

The majority of the equipment we delivered was from our manufacturing portfolio, including a self-consumption transformer, a 150 MVA power transformer, 400 kV disconnectors, 110 kV circuit breakers and disconnectors, MV 20 kV plant, and 400 kV and 110 kV voltage and current transformers. Our team of experts entirely performed a wide-range of works: the replacement of the existing station computer and installation of the new PROZA NET SCADA system, project development, construction and assembly organization, as well as testing and commissioning.

Zemblak TS expansion is part of the project 110 kV OHL South Albania, funded by the German banking group KfW. The aim of the project is to develop the so-called southern ring of Albania’s power grid.

The successful execution of this project has earned us a new reference in 400 kV TS, strengthening our position as a reliable partner in the construction and reconstruction of both new and existing power facilities.
